Over the week, students will learn the basics of cold metalworking with hand tools, as well as forging with hot metal and even some welding! SeriesFest invites teens (13–18) to our one-week Mobile Cinema Lab Summer Intensive where they will collaborate with industry professionals to learn the fundamentals of filmmaking (Preproduction, Production, and Post-Production) and create original short films! The program will culminate with a public screening of students’ cinematic creations.
Camp is offered twice in 2025. Students may participate in 1 or both sessions (priced separately).

In this class students will deconstruct a man’s suit jacket or trousers using only a seam ripper. All the pieces must maintain their shape and be kept intact. The student will hand sew the separate pieces back together to create a different item. New items are made by layering, overlapping, gathering, using a variety of stitches etc. The only constraint is the pieces cannot be cut into a different shape. Materials provided. A session for campers runs for one week from 9am-3pm Monday to Friday. Junior Counselor sessions run for two weeks from 8:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday. This class will cover the basics for getting started using oil paint. We will cover topics like how to set up your palette, how to use mediums to mix with your paint, and how to properly clean up and care for your supplies. We will also talk about what a classical approach to starting an oil painting looks like, as well as explore some less “traditional” methods.
