Don't miss this super fun week of drawing with a twist as we dive into flipbooks and optical illusions! Flipbooks are one of the original forms of animation! We will use flipbooks to develop a character or an image, and learn how to make minor changes to create an animated flipbook using mini LED lightpads and special flipbook paper. In addition to flipbooks, campers will explore ways to trick our eyes with optical illusions. Get ready for a week of drawing and fun!

Using improv exercises, playwriting techniques, movement activities, and music we will write and fully stage our immersive show over the course of five days. Work with experts from Learning Through Robotics to learn how to code, program, and accomplish FIRST LEGO League challenges using Mindstorm EV3 Robots or NXT Robots. You will even have a chance to practice lessons designed to help understand FIRST LEGO League Robot Games! You will be developing skills like teamwork, adaptability, and strategy to prepare you for competitions!

Think of it as a place to practice foundational skills in a fun, supportive environment with other kids who are serious about improving drawing or painting skills.

Bring your 18" doll or stuffie to celebrate different decades and unleash your inner retro diva. Your doll will rock a DIY tie-dye tee and a peace sign necklace for the groovy 60's, and a disco ball with a record player for the far-out 70's. We'll whip up leg warmers and a box TV for the rad 80's, a Gameboy and fanny pack for the totally tubular 90's, and even an iPod and mini backpack for the “OMG, remember that?” 2000's.
