Children's Diabetes Foundation

The Children’s Diabetes Foundation was established by Barbara and Marvin Davis in 1977 in Denver as a non-profit organization dedicated solely to the support of research in diabetes and to provide the best possible clinical and educational programs for people with the disease. The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to support the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, where thousands of patients of all ages from all over the world receive the finest diabetes care available. Since 1978, the Children’s Diabetes Foundation has contributed $100 million dollars to the Barbara Davis Center.

The Annual Run for the Ring 5K/Walk and Kids Fun Run will bring together Barbara Davis Center patients, loyal supporters, and running enthusiasts to run for the brass ring – the cure for type 1 diabetes. All proceeds from this run/walk will support the efforts and programs of The Guild of the Children’s Diabetes Foundation, whose mission is to fund research, promote diabetes awareness and education, assist families in need, provide continuing education scholarships and sponsor social activities for children and their families. Run for the Ring will feature music to get the morning going, pre-race warm-up, kids interactive activities and games, Kids Zone DJ, foam party at the finish line, and more. 5K & Fun Run Registration includes breakfast bites, timing chip (5K only), race bib, awards ceremony, and Run for the Ring performance t-shirt. Sleep-In Registration includes Colorado flag shirt, which will be mailed to registrant.
