Need a FULL DAY camp program for your kiddo? Register for both a morning and afternoon session by combining programs, plus sign up for the Lunch Bunch! Kids bring their own lunch each day and participate in fun activities between morning and afternoon camp sessions. Lunch Bunch is free with a full day of camp registration.

Western Settlers Camp
Embark on our classic Wild West Longmont adventure! Learn about Longmont's past while gathering trinkets for your "possibles" travel sack, panning for gold, playing games, capturing bandits and meeting a mountain man. Camp is held at Old Mill Park in Longmont.

Strum & Hum with Bonnie & Taylor Sims
Come explore your voice and creativity and express yourself through music! We will learn basic ukulele and vocal skills to facilitate our own songwriting, and learn a few favorites (old & new!). We will perform on the final day as a group. All levels welcome, ukulele provided.

Space is the Place
There are lots of things in space: planets, rocket ships, satellites, astronauts, and aliens. We will use both what we know and what we imagine about space to create images and sculptures about this mysterious place and what might be in it. We will get to draw, paint, and sculpt using a variety of materials.

A Taste of Mexico
(Spanish immersion camp)
Get your passport ready! Using their active imaginations, campers will travel and explore Mexican culture as they embark on a 5-day imaginary journey to learn about the history and celebrations of Mexico. Through music, games and art activities kids will learn and reinforce basic Spanish vocabulary and conversational skills. This camp will be conducted in Spanish, all levels are welcome.

Western Arts Alive
The arts of Native Americans and settlers who first lived in Colorado will inspire us to make quilt squares, weavings, dolls, toys, baskets and other useful things. We will also see how different artists capture the West, and create drawings and paintings of this landscape and its inhabitants.

Arts Exploration

Kinetics Camp
This camp is based on the Kinetics Sculpture Race at Union Reservoir. Kids will be building their recycled raft to race in the event. At the end of the camp, we will take our human-powered sculptures to race across land and water (while wearing zany costumes)! Camp fees include race entry and supplies.

Zometool Camp - Go Beyond Blocks

Songs, Ukuleles & Fun with Mr. John
Kids want to write and perform their own songs for their friends... especially from a stage! This fun camp introduces kids to the art of songwriting while teaching them how to play the ukulele. All levels welcome. Taught by local singer-songwriter and experienced K-8 music educator, John Mieras.

Maker 101 - Imagine It, Build It
If you have ever created something that did not exist before - you are a Maker! While you can learn the basics of making the hard way, a little knowledge can be a big help. We'll be working with robotics, 3D printing, soldering, sewing -- all kinds of tools and skills to create!

Missoula Children's Theater
Missoula Children’s Theater auditions, casts, rehearses, directs, and leads the performance of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Longmont Museum auditorium over the course of a single week. Auditions for 50 - 60 roles are cast on day one, after which cast members are invited back to begin an intensive rehearsal schedule. On Friday night and Saturday afternoon the children will perform their show for friends, family and community members.

Mosaics

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry Preparatory Academy

Fabric Arts
Students will have a blast experimenting with different kinds of plant-based dyes, fabric paints, all natural tie-dye tricks and basic sewing and weaving techniques. Campers will use their beautifully dyed fabric to make pillows, prayer flags, wall hangings, change purses or whatever their imaginations and fingers will allow them to sew!

Zombie Apocalypse Training Camp
The virus is spreading, the grid is down: how will you survive? Recruits will learn modern day survival skills, off-the-grid living skills, light-hearted combat training, weaponry, how to build a bug-out-bag, and cardio, so you can live to fight another day. Down and dirty fun.

LEGO Mindstorms EV3

Policies
To provide the best experience for everyone, all children must meet the age requirement at the start of the camp date. No exceptions.
Cancellations
If a child cannot attend a camp, cancellation must be made at least two weeks prior to the session start date for a full refund. Cancellations made one week prior to camp start date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee, Cancellations made less than one week prior to camp start date are subject to a 75% cancellation fee. In the event the Museum cancels a camp, registration fees are refunded in full.
Confirmations
Because every camp is different, a packet containing all camp details will be emailed or sent to parents two weeks prior to the camp start date. Please call the Museum at 303-651-8374 if you have not received a packet the week before camp begins.
Financial Aid
A limited number of camp scholarships are available for Longmont resident children enrolled in a lunch assistance program. Download scholarship applications in English or Spanish or contact the Museum at 303-651-8374 for more information.
