Music Makers (Songwriting & Audio Production Technology)

The focus of Music Makers is to become familiar with a type of software called Digital Audio Workstations, better known as DAWs. From pop, to rock, to hip hop, the vast majority of today’s music is recorded and produced using DAWs such as Pro Tools and Ableton Live.

  • Attention music lovers! This camp will teach students how to compose and record music using little more than an iPad.
  • The focus of Music Makers is to become familiar with a type of software called Digital Audio Workstations, better known as DAWs. From pop, to rock, to hip hop, the vast majority of today’s music is recorded and produced using DAWs such as Pro Tools and Ableton Live.
  • Students will learn how to create a song in an iOS DAW called Garageband; they will program various digital instruments within the app, and record physical instruments into the app. Prior musical experience is helpful, but not necessary.
  • Offered June 6 - 10 to rising 5th - 9th graders!
