The Colorado Railroad Museum’s annual Halloween-themed steam-up event is back to “haunt the rails'' this October 19th and 20th. Grounds are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with themed activities taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Explore the “not-so-spooky” Haunted Railcars, find your way through a hay bale maze, hear a spooky story in a caboose and more. An authentic, coal-burning Colorado steam locomotive will pull the trains at this event. There will also be hands-on demonstrations and an appearance by the museum’s own mascot, Spike the Railroad Dog! Wear your favorite costume and trick-or-treat- your way through the grounds. Tasty treats and lunchtime food options will be available for purchase. Regular admission and train ride pricing applies. Capacity is limited, so advanced ticket purchase is recommended.
