The Colorado Youth Pipe Band is a non-profit music education organization. It teaches the traditions of Highland bagpipes, drums, and dance to youth 8 to 18 years. We foster appreciation, skill, leadership, pride, and camaraderie through performance and competition. The band runs year-round and there is no music experience necessary to participate. Kids learn how to play the Highland bagpipes, tenor, snare or bass drums and/or to Highland Dance from experienced and supportive instructors in a fun and engaging setting. Instruments and uniforms are provided. The band meets for practice weekly in Denver's Washington Park neighborhood.
The Colorado Youth Pipe Band offers Highland Bagpiping, Drumming (tenor, snare or bass drum) and Highland Dance lessons to youth aged (about) 6 to 18 years. No music or dance experience is necessary to participate.
