Rooted in Studio Thinking, we nurture creativity, critical thinking, and artistic autonomy. Campers explore a wide range of techniques and processes across 2D and 3D art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sensory and creative play, color experiments, hand sewing, weaving, wire sculptures, found-object creations, and inventive designs.

In this session, we will build D&D characters using 5e rules and draw them out. We’ll talk about how to make your characters look realistic, write backstories, and play a short D&D campaign with our newfound friends. No experience playing D&D is necessary, we will help you as we go. My only requirement is that you show up kind and respectful to your classmates. No evil characters will be allowed. Climb, spin, swing, and soar at Aerial Cirque Over Denver’s signature aerial camps - offered at both our Denver and Centennial locations! Camps are open to ages 6–teen and introduce students to 4 aerial apparatuses including silks, trapeze, lyra (hoop), and sling. Campers are grouped by age and experience, and friend requests are welcomed. Whether brand-new or returning with some experience, every camper learns in a supportive environment led by professionally trained youth aerial coaches.

Your young magician will spend four days learning to make a rubber band teleport, find a chosen card with the help of a queen, and pluck a number right out of someone's mind. By Thursday they record their favorite performance to share with friends and family. Live on Zoom, small groups of 4 kids, everyday objects. No experience needed. Ages 8-12. Multiple weeks available June and July.

Champ Camp 2026 at the University of Denver runs from June 8-July 31, and offers an exciting summer experience for children ages 5–12. Hosted on the DU campus, this fun-filled day camp gives kids the chance to stay active, make new friends, and enjoy a wide variety of engaging activities in a supportive environment. With options designed to spark creativity, teamwork, and adventure, Champ Camp is a memorable way for kids to learn, play, and grow all summer long.

Learn all about the plants and animals of the rainforest while creating your own vine-filled jungle. Make paper leaves, birds, flowers, and more! On the last hour of the last day, we will throw a "wild" rainforest party while wearing animal masks that we made during camp! Instructed by Karmen Franklin.

This class will cover the basics for getting started using oil paint. We will cover topics like how to set up your palette, how to use mediums to mix with your paint, and how to properly clean up and care for your supplies. We will also talk about what a classical approach to starting an oil painting looks like, as well as explore some less “traditional” methods. By the end of the week we will have completed a painting in oil! Instructed by Jenna Almond Williams.

JuneBugs is expanding our age limits with our new 5-10 year old groups! This older kid group will still be allotted plenty of time to explore nature and make friends on their own terms. But we will also be providing activities that challenge older kids to deepen their understanding of the nature in front of them!

Children explore the world of robotics by following step-by-step instructions to build simple animal models using LEGO® bricks while learning the fundamentals of robotic design. As they build creations like fish, alligators, dogs, and frogs, they discover how sensors, gears, wheels, and axles work together to create movement. Open to participants ages 6–10.
