Featuring the beloved songs you know by heart—“Over the Rainbow,” “Follow the Yellow Brick Road,” “If I Only Had a Brain,” and more—this Royal Shakespeare Company adaptation faithfully recreates the classic 1939 film nearly scene for scene. Along the way, Dorothy is joined by a Scarecrow who longs for a brain, a Tin Man searching for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion in need of courage, while the Wicked Witch of the West plots to stop them. With the restored fan-favorite number “The Jitterbug” and the Lion’s showstopping “If I Were King of the Forest,” this production delivers theatrical magic for audiences of all ages and celebrates the timeless message that there’s no place like home.
