Winter Junior Rangers at Lookout Mountain Nature Center

Ages 6 - 10 years with an adult
You will meet the educators at the picnic area near the lower parking lot of Pine Valley Ranch Park.
Ice Safety: Junior Rangers will learn how to be safe around ice and what to do in case of an emergency. They will watch a real rescue demonstration by the Rangers.
Ice Fishing: Junior Rangers will learn about ice fishing, and get a chance to catch a fish all on their own.
Optional-Bring own travel mug for free hot cocoa.
The options available at our hot dog roast may not meet everyone's dietary requirements. If you have specific dietary needs please feel free to bring your own snack/lunch.
This entire 2.5 hour program will be outside. Please dress in cold weather clothing and wear warm, winter footwear with good traction. An absolute must!
Please leave pets at home.
Let's play and learn outside! Our programs go rain, snow, or shine! So, dress accordingly. We will cancel the program if the weather is hazardous or unsafe. If a program is canceled we will send an e-mail and/or call each registered participant. You can also check the event listing. We usually (but not always) make the call to cancel within 24 hours of the program

Registration for this program is available one month before the date of the program. If you are registering during this time, but space is no longer available, please call Lookout Mountain Nature Center at 720-497-7600 to be placed on a waiting list.
