Students will learn how to shoot black & white film in-camera and how to print negatives into photographs in a traditional black & white darkroom during this week-long workshop.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

In this introductory week-long workshop students learn how to load and photograph with an SLR film camera, developing the film, then spend the week making prints from their negatives in the darkroom. They will learn the fundamental rules of dynamic composition, mastering the exposure triangle, developing film, printing a contact sheet in the darkroom, and making 5×7 prints from their negatives. No previous experience is necessary. Just come ready to have fun!
