Week 1: Junior Zookeeper; June 6th – June 10th
Have you ever wondered what a zookeeper does all day? Come spend a week of summer in the life of different zookeepers at Butterfly Pavilion!
Week 2: Critter Classification; June 13th – June 17th
Is a scorpion an arachnid? Is a snail a mollusk or crustacean? What is an octopus? Come spend the week with us as we learn the different orders that some of our favorite bugs are in, and be prepared, some might surprise you!
Week 3: Time Travelers; June 20th – June 24th
Why were the bugs so big in the Carboniferous Period? What caused the Cambrian Explosion? What new species evolved during the Paleozoic Era? Come spend the week with us and discover the giant bugs and cascading effects of the Paleozoic Era!
Week 4: Aquatic Adventures; June 27th – July 1st
What is the difference between the Great Barrier Reef and the Florida Reef Tract? What animals live in the Everglades? Come spend the week with us as we learn all about the incredible water ecosystems and water animals around the world! *The typical water day at the end of the week will be determined based on the current status of the environment and how much precipitation we receive in the previous months*
Week 5: One Day Camps; July 5th – July 8th
July 4th – HOLIDAY, NO CAMP
July 5th – Spider Day: What is the difference between a spider and a tarantula? What is the biggest and smallest spider? Come spend the day with us as we learn all about spiders and get to see some in real life!
July 6th – Roly Poly Day: Is a roly poly an insect? Do roly pollies only live in the dirt? Come spend the day with us as we learn all about these incredible bugs that can curl up into a ball!
July 7th – Animal Senses: What are antennae used for? How many colors can a Mantis Shrimp see? Come spend the day with us and discover the incredible animal senses and how they are different from ours!
July 8th – Conservation Day: What is conservation? How can conservation help our favorite animals? Come spend the day with us and discover all the ways that we can help our favorite animals with conservation!
