Learn more about how we take care of our aquatic animals. This 5 hour program includes a guided tour of the exhibits, behind the scenes tours, prepping animal diets or feeding some animals and even a squid dissection. This program also includes a t-shirt and kids meal lunch in the restaurant.
We will be going behind the scenes and in “staff only” areas throughout the program. These areas require you to wear closed-toed shoes. In order to participate in the program, you must have the proper footwear. Flip-flops and other sandals are NOT permitted. We will also be helping the staff with the preparation of the daily diets for the animals. This involves cutting up seafood. Please wear clothes that can get a little dirty and wet. All other materials for the program will be provided by the Education department. T-shirts & lunch are included. Come ready to have a great time and have tons of fun!
This 5 hour student workshop is a drop off program for students in the 1st - 4th, 5th-8th and 9th - 12th grades. Pre-registration at least 2 weeks in advance is required.
