Maker Club is a 12-session art course for kids that want a creative outlet to make 2-D or 3-D ideas and projects that are important to them with the guidance of an experienced instructor.

Take risks, learn new processes, work with one media or mixed media, experiment, play, get inspired by others, collaborate, create gifts...if they can imagine it and we have the means to make it happen, it will come to life in this creative class!

Every semester creates a new focus with materials/processes based on the interests and needs of the group.

Demos, lessons, and project inspiration will be provided, but if kids have different plans or ideas, they may choose to work with materials and subject matter that deviates from what is presented. All 2-D and 3-D options in the studio will be available including drawing, painting, printing, collage, sculpture, fiber arts including hand sewing, sensory and creative play.

Anything the instructor presents is an idea starter, not a required project. Kids may choose to use the inspiration or just observe and use materials in their own way. All kids will create something that is age appropriate and in line with their experience and comfort level. Each student will go home with varied art. How much they make will depend on how they like to work and what they have time for.

ALL age groups will end the semester on the last class day with an in-person display to showcase the work done throughout the semester.  Families are welcome to come in the studio the last 15 min of the last class day for an Artist's Celebration of all of the displays.
