The beautiful knotted rag rug found in so many 19th century settler homes is unique to North America.

How did the industrial revolution and the western expansion lead to the creation of this utilitarian and beautiful home décor? Participants will learn the historic background and create their own knotted rag rug that can be finished at home. Bring “rags” and a pair of scissors from home to participate, contact instructor with questions about fabric.
10 am to noon at Clear Creek History Park. Appropriate for ages 10 and older with participating adult. Members $10; non-members $15. This class will be taught by Priscilla Marshall, an historian with over 20 years of experience. Enroll online (look under “Programs and Events”). Call us at 303-278-3557 with any questions.
