Join us at our Leadership Camp where we create a healthy balance between fostering leadership both in and outside of camp. We encourage every camper to nurture a generous heart, courage of mind and a boldness of spirit and of course, dreaming BIG!
the “How”
Each week of the three week session focuses on a different curriculum for our Middle School campers.
Technical Skills: Throughout the camp, Middle School campers will learn in-depth how to use iMovie, Garage Band and Google Sketch-up or other iPad 3D art programs. Not only will the kids be challenged physically, but intellectually each day!
Week 1-How to Survive Being a Teenager
Leadership Focus: How to win friends and create social movement
Curriculum Focus: Managing the dynamics of high school, developing the long-range view of college prep, social media stressors, emergency preparation, self-defense, creating stronger family relationships and more.
Culminating Activities:
- Visit a nearby high school and panel of HS students, teachers and administrators giving insight in a fun and meaningful way
- Creating survival kits and learning how to survive crisis scenarios in a safe and fun environment
Field Trip Activities Include: Paddle boarding/survival day and geocaching
Week 2-I am a Future Patent Holder
Leadership Focus: Building habits that build success
Curriculum Focus: Creating the innovations and inventions of the future
Culminating Activity: Young Inventor Laboratory and the Museum of Future Inventions
Possible Field Trips are TBD but could include: The Davinci Institute or the Wings Over the Rockies
Week 3: I am a future Entrepreneur
Leadership Focus: Building habits that build success
Curriculum Focus: Acting as an entrepreneur to develop a product and take it to market.
Culminating Activity: Real-Deal Market Place and the iMovie experience
Field Trip Activities Include: Downtown Denver LIT Scavenger Hunt
As the session concludes, middle schoolers will show their iMovie, Garage Band and Google Sketch-Up creations!
