Kids Zone - The Shape of Money: One Size Fits All?

Did you know that hexagonal coins, coins with six sides, can symbolize the interconnectedness of community and trade? In this class, we will explore the symbolism and practicality of coins minted around the world, and the various shapes they take to represent different cultures and purposes.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Are you and your kids interested in collecting coins or learning more about money? The Money Museum offers free monthly classes in the Kids Zone for children ages 7-14. Children will enjoy learning about history, geography, economics, world cultures, art – even language arts, as well as math and science, by participating in our Kids Zone activcities, held on almost every 3rd Saturday of the month!
