In this class, students will have the opportunity to learn different art mediums and techniques while exploring the great outdoors through art! We will also be studying artists who painted outdoors to help inspire our creations while working with acrylic paint, watercolor and oil pastels.

In this class, students will have the opportunity to learn different art mediums and techniques while exploring the great outdoors through art! We will also be studying artists who painted outdoors to help inspire our creations while working with acrylic paint, watercolor and oil pastels.

Week 1: A Starry Night
We will spend the evening learning about one of the most famous landscape artists, Vincent Van Gogh! We will be creating our very own version of Starry Night.

Week 2: Rocky Mountains
This week we will celebrate the great outdoors that we have right here in Colorado by creating a mountain scene.

Week 3: Watercolor Landscape
We will create a painting of rolling hills and a stunning sky while learning various watercolor skills to produce our own landscape painting.

Week 4: Flowers
We are going to be channeling our inner Monet and creating colorful flower gardens!

Week 5: Winter Scene
Students will create winter tree scenes using their painting and collaging skills!

Week 6: Cactus Painting
We will be exploring and painting a wild west cactus scene using acrylic paint.

No class on November 22 due to Thanksgiving Break
