Counting birds is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Come to the Audubon Nature Center at Chatfield to learn how to identify birds using binoculars, field guides, or your smart phone, and share your love with wildlife when you turn your backyard into a bird sanctuary.
Visit with live, dynamic raptors including an American kestrel, Swainson’s hawk, and red-tailed hawk that will be joining us from Wild Wings Environmental Education starting at 11 am. Find out how to woo the birds in your neighborhood with delicious seed selection and fabulous feeder techniques! Purchase bird seed online athttp://www.denveraudubon.org/getinvolved/birdseed-sale/ from the Audubon Society through February 5th and enjoy convenient pick-up at the event. Join us on a scenic bird hike or help us count the birds at our nature center feeders. Bring your kids or grandkids and help them make their own binoculars and participate in a nature scavenger hunt.
