Parker Arts presents our first annual Shakespeare Festival, a theatrical competition for Parker middle schools and high schools.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Students from participating schools will perform a scene or portion of a scene from a Shakespeare play or soliloquy of their choosing and be evaluated by a team of judges. The six highest scoring performances will perform on the PACE Center Main Stage and will receive the Bard’s Prize for the 2017 Parker Arts Shakespeare Festival!
Parker Arts mission in offering a Shakespeare festival is to:
Increase appreciation and understanding of Shakespeare works
Provide an opportunity for youth to perform
Foster community creativity and engagement
Generate awareness of Parker Arts education and enrichment opportunities
