Artwork created will not be cookie cutter or almost identical to someone else. Because we focus on the entire artistic process from exploring and planning to refining and reflecting, along with the child as an individual, the quantity of work and what is made will depend on how your child likes to work. Kids that need more time to explore and experiment, may go home with more practice work than someone who is ready to invest a lot of time into making a more finished piece or who works slowly with lots of detail and refinement.

Your child will make work that is exciting and meaningful to them. We teach techniques and concepts, but if your child is not quite ready to implement something, or is not interested, we do not force them to put it into practice. Observation is a great learning tool too, and every artist runs into emotional blocks from time to time.

Once we get to know your child, we meet them at their level and challenge them when they are ready.  There is lots of small group and 1:1 instruction during studio times.

*NEW*  ALL age groups will end the semester on the last class day with an in-person display to showcase the work done throughout the semester.  Families are welcome to come in the studio the last 15 min of the last class day for an Artist's Celebration of all of the displays.
