Drawing with Color

Learn how to draw using colored pencils in this new after school program that combines the popular classes Colored Pencils for Kids and Observational Drawing for Kids.

Learn how to draw using colored pencils in this new after school program that combines the popular classes Colored Pencils for Kids and Observational Drawing for Kids.
Students will learn and apply the fundamentals of art to their drawings which will include shapes, composition, contrast, value. They will also learn about highlight and shading all while using both graphite and colored pencils. Throughout the class students will learn fun techniques for working with graphite and colored pencils.
Exercises and drawings will all be observational based (drawing what you see). Students will learn how to apply color, blend, and layer colors to create colorful drawings.
