Come in with your sketchbook and show us what you like to draw! We will creating a series of block prints of your drawings. This fun class will combine drawing and printmaking. Inspired by their own drawings done both in and outside of class, students will carve out their drawings on linocut blocks and learn the art of relief and monoprint printing as well. This is a fun and creative way of practicing and improving your drawing skills.
Although not required students are encouraged to have their own sketchbook that they can use outside of class for sketches they want to use for their prints. Students will be drawing in class, but they may want to use drawings or sketches that they have done outside of class.
