Grandparents' Day! Let's celebrate our elders by making some good old fashioned toys. We'll make sawmill spinners and jacobs ladders. Bring your granny!
Donation request: Cash donations to Wish of a Lifetime Foundation. Wish of a Lifetime grants wishes to seniors.
Why they do it: The granting of a Wish is a simple act, yet the outcomes are profound. Our wish recipients report that they are happier, healthier, and feel more involved in the world after experiencing their Wish. By reaching out to elders in our lives, we can all help show them they are loved and appreciated. We connect seniors with people, purpose, and passions to eliminate their feelings of isolation and help them live vibrant purposeful lives.
Sunday, Oct. 27th
BYOP carving party! Bring your own pumpkin and let's make a big mess of the shop! We'll provide tools, ideas, and clean up. We'll even bag up your seeds and give you our fave recipe for roasted pumpkin seeds.
Donation request: Cash donations to support Denver Urban Gardens. Just $100 provides gardening and nutrition classes to kids at low-income schools.
We are super excited to offer these events for all of our community friends. While there is no fee to participate, please register beforehand to ensure that we have materials and room for everyone. Each month, we will solicit donations for a favorite non-profit. Donations are appreciated but not required.
