Length: 1 week
Tools: Micro:bit board, Microsoft Block editor
Prerequisites: None
CAMP DESCRIPTION:
Take your first step into the exciting world of computer hardware programming with micro:bit. First time coders will soon be controlling a multitude of different functions and sensors. Learn to program this simple “smart device”, and turn code into action by harnessing and combining the micro:bit’s capabilities in creative ways. Campers may create a compass display, a communication system between micro:bits, or interactive games.
At the end of the week, campers can take home their micro:bit along with access to the project files they created and continue coding at home! Learn to code using the same device in use by over a million other students.
* Campers will need to bring a pair of headphones to this camp for the different sound projects as well as a USB drive to save their work.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
