Tools: Scratch
Prerequisites:
Younger students should complete at least one beginner session before taking this camp and have ability to independently create simple games in Scratch.
For older students prior coding experience would be beneficial, but is not required, we will help them pick it up quickly.
Length: 1 week
CAMP DESCRIPTION:
Take your child’s game development skills up to the next level! Campers will move on to more involved projects in Scratch that may include game concepts such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), physics, multi-level, or multiplayer functionality. Campers will build on their current knowledge, learning more advanced concepts, such as nested conditionals, and functions. Instructors serve as guides and coaches to small groups of campers, with our unique curriculum providing personalized instruction that helps students progress at their own pace while being appropriately challenged. Students will have access to their own Scratch account that will allow them to continue working on their coding journey at home.
