Coding with Kids - Robotics Engineering with Arduino

Explore the world of electronics by building and programing your first robot! Campers will learn how to build an Arduino-powered wheeled robot and use the C++ programming language to make their own autonomous vehicle.

Ages: 11-18
Tools: Arduino car kit, C/C++ languages
Length: 1 week
Prerequisites:
Basic prior coding experience is helpful, but not required
Basic typing skills are helpful, but not required

CAMP DESCRIPTION:
Enter the world of self-driving cars! Build your own robotic car. Starting with the individual components, you will assemble your vehicle’s wheels and chassis, wire together the motors and sensors, and use an Arduino board as the controller. Campers will learn how to control their robot remotely, then build AI (Artificial Intelligence) concepts to create an autonomous vehicle using the C++ programming language. Many different levels and challenges will keep all students engaged, no matter how much experience they have.

* After the camp, students will bring their creations home and can continue programming their Arduino robot (included in your tuition) in many different ways.
