Saturday, March 19, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. All ages, $5/person, $15/family. Explore the fascinating world of birds from what they eat, to secrets of their nesting, to why CO is a great place to study them.  By way of photographs and stories, if you're not hooked on birds already, you will be at session's end.  What's a retrix? Who ate 23 scutigera in one morning?  What creature that weighs less than an ounce once drove off our most fearsome bird species?  What's the best plant for attracting birds to your yard?  Will roadrunners ever be part of the scene in Denver? David Leatherman is an experienced lecturer who spent his career as a forest entomologist and has been peering through binoculars at birds since the 1950s.  Sign up in advance.
