Big Read: In the Time of the Butterflies Workshop

Come tell your story and create beautiful butterflies in the workshop inspired by Big Read book In the Time of the Butterflies. This drop-in workshop is open to artists and writers of all ages!

Art Students League of Denver has teamed up with Lighthouse Writers Workshop, Denver Public Library, and Denver Arts & Venues to present the NEA Big Read. The book this year is In the Time of the Butterflies, a story about one family's resistance and resilience during the Trujillo dictatorship in the Dominican Republic. Join ASLD Instructor Holly Hurd for a writing and artmaking activity that will invite participants to tell their stories and make beautiful butterflies out of them! This drop-in workshop is open to all ages.
