In this course, every day objects and our relationship to these objects are the starting point of our exploration. A look at refugees, victims of fires and hurricanes, fleeing their homes with nothing, will be one perspective we explore, in addition to, what things with which we have personal significance or connection. Ideas will be communicated both visually through photography, (basic darkroom/pinhole cameras) and through the written word, poetry, ect. Other formats appropriate to the student's idea are welcome.

*We will be watching a powerful video, "What they took with them" a rythmic poem performed by Cate Blanchett and other celebrities. The poem was inspired by stories and first hand testimonies of refugees fleeing war.*
