Art in the Park presents Colorful Pineapple Print

Participants will be learning about relief printmaking which is when the artist carves an image into a surface and then inks it, transfers it to another surface and then does it again to create multiple works of art of the same image.
This will be a two-part project. First, we will paint a canvas inspired by the colorful bright styles of the Pop Art movement. Next, we will carve our pineapple from a linocut which is a very soft printmaking surface. We will ink our pineapple and then create a print on our painting.
You will not want to miss out on this summer project!
Make the journey to Silo Park this summer to create unique hands-on art projects! Each Art in the Park program introduces participants to a different art medium and technique that will be used in designing and constructing a unique and original work of art. Join us for one day or several to create art!

Ages 7 to 12 years old
Session 1: 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Session 2: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Session 3: 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
