Ancestral Skills After School Club

*The event has already taken place on this date: Tue, 11/19/2019
We believe that kids are built for exploring, creating, and getting dirty. At our Ancestral Skills afterschool club, makers will explore all things ancestral. We'll explore bushcraft skills, homesteading and everywhere in between. We will track animals, learn about plant identification, forage, weave, make arrows, shoot bows, make a healing salve using local plants, build shelters, carve soap and whittle toys. Each week will include a new skill, crafts, games, quiet reflection, and good times.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

We believe that kids are built for exploring, creating, and getting dirty. At our Ancestral Skills afterschool club, makers will explore all things ancestral. It used to be that if we needed something, we went to the woods or the farmyard and made it ourselves. We believe that all people big and small crave self-sufficiency.

    We are a nut-free facility.
  • Closed-toed shoes are required. No sandals of any kind, please.
  • Dress your kids for success, mess-making clothing required.
  • Let's have fun, explore & create!
