Ages 14-17 | Colorful Gelatin Prints

An excellent introduction to printmaking, gelatin printing explores color mixing and layering in a spontaneous way. This class will use plant-based inks to make one-of-a-kind monotype prints as students learn to use printmaking tools to roll colorful ink onto a soft gelatin plate and transfer images with stencils, photo transfers, and drawing techniques. This camp is for ages 14-17.

We will explore printing on paper and fabric using alternative materials including found objects and plant material. Students will leave the class with a portfolio of unique prints and the knowledge to continue making prints at home. This camp is for ages 14-17.
