Mark your calendar for 2nd Saturday at CSU Spur for free, family-friendly fun! On 2nd Saturdays at Spur there are dozens of hands-on activities, educational programs and fun ways to wear out the kids. Admission at CSU Spur is always free except during the National Western Stock Show, when campus visits are part of grounds admission.
The activities change every 2nd Saturday – come back often! There’s lots for both adults and kids to “see” and “do” at Spur, including everything from watching animals in surgery to helping stuffed animals in the mock kids’ veterinary clinic, to exploring food growing in greenhouses and green roofs and experimenting with (and eating) new recipes in the Spur kitchen.
Plus, enjoy food, coffee and drinks available for purchase from our on-site cafe!
Dates in for 2nd Saturday in 2026 include: Feb. 14, March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14, and Dec. 12. Starting in 2026, there will no longer be a free January 2nd Saturday due to the National Western Stock Show. Be sure to stop by the CSU Spur campus on Feb. 14 for the first 2nd Saturday of the new year!
