In sharing the richness of a quiet summer day, poet Mary Oliver watches a grasshopper eat out of her hand and asks, “what else should I have done?” After an initial period of online influencers flaunting the opportunity we have during sheltering in place to perfect old skills and to learn new ones, many of us have realized that this new-for-now normal asks something different, and perhaps offers the unexpected. Join us to read poems old and new and be inspired to write our own individual truths in response. We will honor uncertainty but focus on hope and in-the-moment observation. Participants will be provided a collection of poems by email in advance of the workshop.
