At My trip To France, our philosophy is to focus on providing an immersive cultural experience for children to learn about and appreciate the history, language, and way of life in France. For this trip, we will be touring in the South West of France, from Toulouse to Carcassone and Lascaux.

Saturday, November the 18th

We will meet your child at Toulouse airport on the 18th of November between 2 and 4 pm. Optionally, one of the Tour Leader can also take care of  him/her at Denver International airport on the 17th (see with us for details). On that day, we will just go to our accomodation and enjoy our first meal together before a good night of rest.

Sunday, November the 19th

On that very first day of camp, we will go visit the medieval castle of Carcassonne. Let's go back in time to the Middle Ages ! We will start by exploring the well-preserved fortifications, including the double ring of walls and towers, which offer panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Next, we will wander through the narrow, cobbled streets lined with charming houses and shops. By the end of the day, we will have a deeper appreciation for this UNESCO World Heritage Site and maybe we can enjoy a delicious Cassoulet dinner.

Monday, November the 20th

We will start the day by visiting the Cité de l'Espace, an interactive space museum showcasing the history of space exploration and offering a glimpse into the future of space travel. Then, we will head to Aeroscopia, a museum dedicated to aeronautics, where visitors can explore the history of aviation and see a wide range of vintage and modern aircraft up close. In the afternoon, we will stroll through the historic center of Toulouse, known for its narrow, winding streets and colorful buildings.

Tuesday, November the 21st

After these couple days in the Toulouse area, it's time to drive up (2h30 drive) to Sarlat-la-Canéda and the Dordogne area. In the afternoon, we will be offered a unique glimpse into the past by exploring the Lascaux Cave, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is home to some of the oldest and most well-preserved examples of prehistoric art in the world. We will be able to see the stunning drawings and paintings created by early humans over 17,000 years ago.

Wednesday, November the 22nd

It's farmer market day ! We will start the day by exploring Sarlat la Canéda, a beautiful medieval town known for its well-preserved historic architecture and charming streets.  In the afternoon, we will head to La Madeleine Troglodyte, a series of troglodyte caves, or rock-hewn dwellings, that were once used as homes and places of worship.

Thursday, November the 23rd

After all these busy days, it's time to take some time to rest. We will enjoy the swimming pool (depending on the weather) in the morning and have some fun time in the afternoon at an adventure park next by.

Friday, November the 24th

It is going to be an other amazing day in the Dordogne area. We will start the day by exploring Gouffre de Padirac, a massive underground cave system with a stunning underground lake, towering stalactites, and unique rock formations. In the afternoon, we will head to the village of Rocamadour, a historic settlement perched atop a cliff, known for its stunning views, picturesque alleyways, and medieval architecture. We will end the day by trying local cuisine such as duck and especially foie gras, the local speciality.

Saturday, November the 25th

It is time to drive back to Toulouse (2h30 drive) so we can catch our flight tomorrow ! In the afternoon, we will visite La Halle des Machines, an interactive technology museum that showcases a variety of innovative and imaginative machines and their inner workings.
