Teen Paint: Botanical Illustration (ages 14-17)

8 Week Session // Ages 14 - 17 // Thursdays, 5:00-6:15pm // Oct. 25th - Dec. 20th // No Class Nov. 22nd // $210 tuition +$18 materials fee
Take your painting skills to the next level with the art of botanical illustration--depicting the form, color, and details of plant species, frequently in watercolor paintings--in this new class for teens. Working in both watercolor and acrylics, students will learn how to look closely to render small details of the natural world. While this class will focus on botanical studies, there will be room for other painting exploration throughout the session as well. This class will support and encourage each student's individual process while advancing their skills among a community of artists. Class culminates in an independent piece of each student's choice.
