Still Life describes a work of art that shows inactive objects from the natural or man-made world, such as fruit, flowers, glass, bowls, etc. Throughout history artists have used fruit for the objects of their still life paintings. These paintings served as a way for artists to learn light and shadow and how to blend and mix color in a painting. Each week we will focus on one of the fundamentals of painting as we paint a fruit still life. These silly but colorful pieces of fruit will be beautiful works of art!
Week 1: Monochromatic Apples
Week 2: Neon Pears
Week 3: Mixed Media Citrus
Week 4: Close-Up Fruit with Flower
