May 25, 2021: Life on the Farm
Ever wonder where your food comes from? Learn how to grow food on an old-fashioned farm and help us plant vegetables in the garden.
June 8th, 2021: Prairie Safari
Take a ride out onto the prairie, explore the plants and animals that make the grassland ecosystem so unique.
July 27, 2021: Farm Animals
Visit our old-fashioned farm and learn about farm animals. Help out in the garden and discover how to care for farm animals.
August 17, 2021: Birds of a Feather
Discover the birds of the Colorado prairie! Learn where eagles nest and create a feathered craft.
Audience: Recommended for children ages 3-6 years.
Program Fee: $8 per preschooler; one adult per child is admitted free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings (children over the age of 6 years) are $5 each. Non-participating-Infants (children under the age of 18 months) are free.
Registration Instructions: Pre-registration is required. Program registration will not be available onsite. One adult per child is admitted free of charge. Please use the Adult Ticket option to register the free adult. Due to social distancing and group size restrictions you must register all members of your party.
The following safety procedures and requirements are in place for attending onsite classes during COVID-19:
All adults and children ages 3 and older are required to wear a mask during the program and in all indoor spaces.
Class sizes are reduced to follow social distancing protocols. Materials used during the program will not be shared between participant groups and will be disinfected between each use.
The program will take place outdoors.
Please practice social distancing keep at least six feet away from visitors not in your party.
Location: Plains Conservation Center, 21901 E Hampden Ave Aurora, CO 80013 (Entrance is at the corner of E Hampden Ave and S Picadilly Rd).
