Up with People, Jr. is a week long, performing arts-based summer day camp for kids ages 8 - 12. During the week, kids will learn songs and dances from the international singing organization, Up with People. Through music, students forge connections and learn more about our common humanity.
They will also use the arts as a vehicle to explore their communities and the world around them. By learning more about other cultures, as well as digging deeper into the similarities and differences of the people we live and play with every day, kids will discover that we are more alike than we are different.
Along with learning and performing a 20 minute show at the end of the week, kids will be involved in a community service action project. We will partner with a local organization and learn more about the importance of serving others. Kids will not only be inspired to make positive changes in their families, schools and communities, but gain skills that will help them use their voice to be positive agents of change.
