TRANSITIONING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL: CREATING ORDER WITH COLOR (Ages 11-13)

This week-long course will help students build skills that can be successfully translated into their everyday middle school experience. The time management unit will concentrate on the understanding and use of a Google Calendar to manage time in the areas of homework, long-term assignments, family responsibilities, extracurricular activities, and personal goals, as well as understanding how to manage materials and coordinate them with a schedule.

Time: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; Cost: $265 + $20 Materials Fee

GETTING ORGANIZED IN HIGH SCHOOL (Age 14-18)

Getting Organized in High School will help students build skills that can be successfully translated into their everyday upper school experience. Units will include: 1) time management through the use of a Google Calendar to manage time in the areas of homework, long-term assignments, family responsibilities, extracurricular activities, and personal goals, 2) management of materials/electronic files and coordination with a schedule, 3) options for preparing for classes to maximize the effectiveness of note-taking and preparing for tests, 4) basic organization for written expression using Google Docs, the implementation of a basic outline and voice typing.

Time: 1-4 p.m.; Cost: $265 + $20 Materials Fee
