Join Stagebugz Theatre for this fall's teen company production of Jacqueline Hyde!
Freshman Jacqueline Hyde, the great-great granddaughter of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is starting public school for the first time. But she's afraid her secret may come out: that she turns into a hideous monster if touched by water! She quickly learns that the students of Hallow City High are anything but “normal”, and something much more sinister is going on. Will Jacqueline be able to stop evil from spreading through her town, or will she succumb to her family’s legacy and become evil herself? Featuring eerily familiar characters such as Thursday Addams and Frankie Stein, this play is equal parts hilarious and heartwarming, and the perfect way to celebrate Halloween!
The Blackbox Company is an acting-focused program designed for older students to dive into advanced acting curriculum, focusing on skills such as script analysis and comedic structure. Actors will take the show from table read to final curtain call, exploring the full process of developing a production and working as an ensemble. Rehearsals will include games, bonding time, and technical work, leading up to a final blackbox-style public performance. This class is the perfect opportunity for young actors to develop their skills while having tons of fun!
Auditions will be held on August 14th from 7-9 PM. Registered performers will sign up for a 5-minute time block and should come prepared with a 60 to 90-second comedic monologue. Those unable to attend may submit a video audition.
All who audition are guaranteed a role with several speaking lines and relatively equal stage time!
Rehearsals: Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:45 PM beginning August 21st. All rehearsals held at Columbine United Church in Littleton.
Tech Rehearsals: October 23 and 24
