FALL BREAK CAMPS 2019 - Parker Arts Culture and Events (PACE)

Does your kid enjoy zombies, vampires and screams? This camp is not for the faint at heart. Kids will work in a group to create a class Halloween themed movie while actively engaging in all aspects of movie-making. They’ll learn film techniques, production roles, and on camera acting, as well as social communication skills like eye contact, storytelling, teamwork, and active listening. Kids will also create scary slime in class to use as a special effect in the movie. Please send kids with clothes that can be destroyed. A final class video will be edited and uploaded to our website for parents and students to view once our editing process is complete. Parents can download and keep a copy of the final video for a small fee.

Parker Arts Variety Camp
Ages: 5-12
Join us for a best-of Parker Arts variety camp where kids will explore a different topic each day. Monday – Science! Tuesday – Cooking! Wednesday – Arts! Thursday – Music! Friday – Theater! Kids will have a diverse and exciting week of learning over fall break.
Monday: Science – Kids will explode pocket rockets, create pearl swirl tubes, launch loopy flyers divers, and much more!
Tuesday: Cooking – Enjoy your fall break cooking up an apple harvest feast that includes basic knife skills and kitchen instruction. Kids will make: Apple Chicken Sliders, Chopped Apple & Romaine Salad, Apple Cinnamon Cookie Energy Bites, and Brown Sugar Apple Cookies.
Wednesday: Art – Fall fun! Draw an Ant Mansion, create a funny Eyeball Garland, and a Candy Corn Candleholder with KidzArt!
Thursday: Music – World Percussion. Explore your rhythmic potential with gorgeous sounding percussion instruments from around the world.
Friday: Theater – Explore the world of theater with Ms. Alyssa! Kids will learn a variety of theater and improvisation games throughout the day and explore characters from classic stories.

My Amazing Flying Machine
Ages: 5-12
Speed your way through the four forces of flight by making a ping pong ball float, designing your own parachute, sending rockets into the atmosphere, building your own plane, and much more in this very aerodynamic class. Then imaginations will take flight with inspiration and lessons where every child will draw their flying machine in detail and learn new techniques to create a whimsical version of Aladdin's Lamp and some adorable baby dragons. Creativity, imagination and whole-brain learning are all happening every week.
