During the Bear Cub program, adults and children venture out on the trails, sing and discover the many plants and animals who live in and around Chautauqua Park.
Meet at the Waterwise Garden, located just south of Academic Hall, every Thursday at 10:30 am for this hour and a half in the surrounding open space. Click here to learn more and to register.

BIG BUGS ~ June 6
Let’s look under rocks to see who’s living there and use nets to capture what is in the air! Let’s use our eyes to look closely!
ROCK HEADS ~ June 13
Let’s learn about the rocks and go hunting for them all on the trail! Rough, smooth, shiny and colorful rocks!
SILLY SLIMY CREATURES ~ June 20
Find the largest land Salamander in the World! Who are the snakes that live at Chautauqua? Meet live creatures to learn more about the reptiles and amphibians!
BEAKS AND WINGS ~ June 27
Soar like a bird and search the skies. Listen to the singing birds and use the binoculars to spot them!
I WANNA BE A TREE! ~ July 11
Can you reach for the sky like a tree? Find different trees, count their needles and smell their bark!
SQUIRREL’S KITCHEN ~ July 18
Can you find the squirrels? Some are small and some are big! Find their homes and watch them leap and bound!
