2020 Fireworks Show set for July 4! - Castle Rock

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 07/04/2020
It’s a tradition to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks. So, turn your attention to Santa Fe Quarry Mesa for the Town’s annual fireworks display. Similar to year’s past, fireworks will shoot off at sundown (around 9:30 p.m.) from the butte located just south of The Meadows, above Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course.

What to know about the show

This high-flying show is weather and fire restriction dependent, and can be seen from almost anywhere in Town, though, visibility may be limited in Crystal Valley Ranch, Plum Creek, Founders, Castlewood Ranch, Cobblestone Ranch, Sapphire Pointe and Terrain.

This year, we recommend viewing the fireworks from your home or neighborhood if possible.

If you do need to go somewhere to watch the show, please don’t congregate in crowds and be sure to maintain proper social distancing. Also, be aware that parking on streets and roadways will be limited. Please be courteous of driveways and adhere to any posted neighborhood parking restrictions.

The show is expected to start at about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, and last about 15 minutes. You’ll know the fireworks are about to begin when you hear a three-shot salute to start the show. A similar salute will also end the show.

In the event of rain or severe weather, fireworks will be postponed to July 5. If stage 2 fire restrictions are in place on July 4, the event will be canceled.
