2 Day Horsemanship Camp- June 1st-2nd, 2022

Enjoy the outdoors while learning life skills along with horsemanship skills. This summer camp is two days in length introducing all that we do in a four day camp. Camp covers safety, caring for the horse, how to lead and control a lesson horse on the ground with fun exercises, grooming and saddling, and riding basics. Balance, focus, and confidence are just a few of the life skills that horsemanship offers.
Please have your child dress in layers, long pants and closed toed shoes or boots (tennis shoes are fine for their fist camp). Pack plenty of water, lots of snacks, and sunscreen.
First day does include theory but we always ride on the first day. The next day introduces the student to a little bit of all they would learn in a 4 day camp or continuing lessons, including moving the horse around on the ground(ground work) and riding. Students learn horse and saddle parts for more effective communication with their helper. No experience is necessary and we provide helmets and horses!
If your child has experience, after the first day we move them to the continuing group to help them develop more skills. We have developed Promenade Parnership, a levels program involving additional classes or camps, if you are interested in them testing their skills.
