Encounter nature at its best and get ready for a wild time! A new adventure awaits each day as you explore, experiment, observe, and hike the magnificent grounds of Cherokee Ranch and Castle. Are you a natural citizen scientist?
Sessions are on Mondays from 10:00-3:30 Ages 7-12
Create your own package with 1 ($70), 3 ($189), or 5 ($315) sessions.
June 5 From songbirds to raptors, learn about some of Colorado’s fascinating
birds and investigate Cherokee Ranch’s Bluebird boxes.
June 19 Why are pollinators in trouble and what can humans do to help them?
Participate in a butterfly monitoring project and make some seed bombs.
June 26 Have a rockin’ time as a youth geologist. Why is the Castle built from
volcanic rock? Make real crystals and begin your own rock collection.
July 3 What’s in that water? Why does it matter? Pass the Jug—are you thirsty
yet?
July 10 Encounter native animals and investigate some of their secrets. How do
scientists study them and how can humans help them thrive?
