Taekwon-Do Classes at Apex

Our program is designed with specific age groups and ability levels in mind. All our classes are taught by black belt instructors that are certified by the United States Taekwon-Do Federation. In addition, our senior instructors are certified by the International Taekwon-Do Federation. Every instructor must complete various instructors’ courses conducted by the USTF. Each one must also complete a minimum of 8 hours of continuing education during the year.
Class times and descriptions:
Ages 8 to adult: Meets Monday and Thursday evenings. Beginning students train from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Advanced students train from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Additionally, students may train at the Wednesday evening Family Class from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM or the Wednesday adult class (age 16 and up) from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. All students are welcome to attend Saturday morning class from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
Ages 5 to 7 years old: Meets Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Students may also attend the Wednesday family class if they have an older family member training in the regular 8 to adult class or with instructor’s permission.
Maestas Taekwon-Do Black Belts: Black Belt students are welcome to train at any of the classes. The Adult only class on the 3rd Wednesday of the month is limited to black belts only.
Class Fees:
Ages 8 to adult: $110.00/res $120/non-res per two-month session. Students may attend all classes listed above. However, they should plan on attending their regular Monday and Thursday class to receive the most comprehensive training. Class instruction, color belt testing fees and annual federation membership are covered in the registration fee.
Ages 5 to 7 years old: $55.00/res $60/non-res per two-month session. Students may attend all classes listed above that are appropriate to their age or family situation. Class instruction, color belt testing fees and annual federation membership are covered in the registration fee.
Maestas Taekwon-Do Black Belts: $50.00 per two-month session. Class instruction and annual federation membership are covered in the registration fee.
Class location:
Monday/Thursday class meets at the Secrest Youth and Teen Center, 66th and Pierce Street for the spring/summer. Wednesday/Saturday class meets at Secrest Youth and Teen Center, 66th and Pierce Street throughout the year.
