Museum Family Day: Nature's Aviators
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 04/21/2018
Look up in the sky, what’s soaring by? A bird, a bat, a bee, or a seed? Take an up-close look at wings, what structures help them fly? We’ll spend the day with our heads in the clouds, exploring the successes and challenges of nature’s aviators.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Look up in the sky, what’s soaring by? A bird, a bat, a bee, or a seed? Many animals, and even plants, have evolved to travel through the air. Take an up-close look at wings covered in feathers, scales, and fur—what structures help them fly? How does flight help them survive? Through observations and hands-on experiments, we’ll spend the day with our heads in the clouds, exploring the successes and challenges of nature’s aviators.
Live birds!
