Miners Alley Playhouse began in 1989 as The Morrison Theatre Company. Founder Rick Bernstein and his wife, Paige Larson, moved the company to Golden in 2003, where it became Miners Alley Playhouse. In addition to a beautiful 130-seat theater, the downtown Golden space is also the home of Lillie's Saloon - a full bar and lounge in the lobby of the theater. Lillie's Saloon is open for Happy Hour one hour before showtime, and provides a gathering place for the audience before the show. This is also where the cast, crew and audience can mingle after the show.

Miners Alley is continuing to offer After School Acting Classes in 2019, along with our award winning Summer Workshops in June and July. Each class will have a final performance to showcase what they’ve learned. Since the classes are designed to teach the basic skills needed to perform, we want to give the kids a chance to show off what they’ve learned! These lessons will build confidence, teamwork and listening skills, and form a firm foundation for working on the stage.
